Simple Recipe For Banana Bread

This Easy Banana Bread Recipe is the absolute BEST! It is moist, packed with bananas, sweetened with brown sugar, and baked in a square pan for even and quick cooking. No mixer needed, grab a bowl and whisk, this bread is ready in under 30 minutes.

For years, I have been on a search for the PERFECT Banana Bread. I wanted a recipe that is simple, with no fancy ingredients, and no trendy technique. Just a flat-out delicious Banana Bread that bakes up perfectly every single time. HERE IT IS!

simple recipe for banana bread

This has quickly become my go-to banana bread recipe, so quick (aka can be done with a toddler helping!) and easy to remember. I swap one banana for a cup of blueberries and use a spoonful of almond butter and cinnamon for extra flavour. Love it!

I made this banana bread a bit differently. I followed the recipe but added dates and figs (about 1 cup each) as well as the mashed bananas and i used Allspice instead of the cinnamon. It turned out great and my very picky spouse (who hates anything banana) gobbled it up like there was no tomorrow. She loved it and so did my very picky brother.

The best vegan banana bread you'll ever eat is moist, flavorful and tastes like the nostalgic, traditional banana bread you know and love. This easy vegan banana bread recipe uses simple ingredients and makes an incredible brunch treat or snack. Options to add chocolate chips and nuts to make it extra special!

Add banana bread batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a tester inserted into the middle comes out clean or with just a few crumbs attached. Allow bread to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then remove and transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

This bread is the bomb! Moist, packed with yummy flavors and super easy to make. I was craving a dessert and because this recipe is so simple, I already had all of the ingredients in my apartment! For sure recommend!

Made this last night and I added both chopped pecans and chocolate chips. I had a slice for breakfast and it is SO good! All previous vegan banana bread recipes I have made end up dense and dry but this one is so flavorful and moist. Plus I appreciate how simple the recipe is. I found my new favorite vegan banana bread!

Vegan or not this is 100% my favorite banana bread recipe!! Perfect texture and ingredients are so simple. I use 100% whole wheat flour and love it, adds a good crust without throwing off the sweetness or crumb. Whole wheat flour absorbed more liquid so I either cut back a little on the flour or add a little extra milk.

This is my first time ever making banana bread and I am so glad I chose your recipe! It turned out so good! My challenge making breads in the past has been that they turn out dry-I love that this is so moist.

I made this bread today, I am not sure why it came out so dry. I used soy milk and canola oil. I stay away from omega 6 fatty acids and saturated fats. I added extra soy milk when it looked to be too thick. Will keeping looking for the perfect vegan banana bread.Oh and I did not not have the freshest baking soda so that was good to know.

This was so delicious and came out perfectly! I used 1-1/2 banana from fresh and 1-1/2 frozen bananas. I did not drain any liquid from the frozen bananas and it came out fine. I used a mix of flours (3/4 cup whole wheat, 1/2 all-purpose flour, 1/4 almond flour and 1/4 corn meal) and I used olive oil. I will definitely use this recipe again!

Delicious. I added an extra banana (because I had 4 very ripe bananas) and added half a cup of flour. Because my pan was small, I baked it for about 35 minutes. I will use this recipe again. Thank you!

This recipe would have saved me some unnecessary grocery store trips back when I thought eggs were completely necessary to make banana bread haha. I used white whole wheat flour and extra virgin olive oil, and even overmixed it by accident but it still turned out soft and delicious like a classic banana bread.

This is the BEST vegan banana bread ever! I used whole wheat pastry flour and added in chocolate chips. I love how simple the recipe was and how it baked so well (not too mushy). Will definitely make again!

My 4 year old son said this was the most amazing banana bread! My bananas were only medium ripe and it still turned out great. I used gluten free 1:1 flour and the texture and volume turned out perfectly. Will be making this again!

The ingredients for this scrumptious, hearty bread begin with three overripe bananas. Then come essentials you likely already have on hand, such as eggs (or chia/flax eggs), vanilla and coconut oil. To sweeten things up a bit more I relied on a mix of honey, cane and brown sugar for a variance of flavor and texture.

Yes. You can make almost any variety of banana bread since you are just substituting vegetable oil for butter. For example, you can create no butter versions of chocolate chip banana bread, blueberry banana bread, cranberry banana bread and many more. If you like nuts, you might like to make our Pecan Banana Bread recipe. It is also a no butter banana bread.

How do you freeze vegan banana bread? You can store this banana bread for 2 months in a freezer safer container or storage bag. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight. I enjoy heating up a nonstick skillet and heating for just a minute or two on each side. It gets all warm and a little crispy around the edges. So good. You can also use a microwave to warm it up.

This is, by far, my favorite banana bread recipe. I have made it many times. Sometimes my bread is a bit too moist, probably due to the size of the bananas. Is it possible for you to add the optimal amount of the banana in ounces or cup measurement?

I buy bananas just so I can make this banana bread. It is so delicious, my whole family loves it, and it comes together so quickly. Thank you so much for this terrific recipe! Best banana bread out there!!

Ive made many kinds of banana bread from classic recipes with eggs butter sugar to WFPB SOS free. This recipe is FANTASTIC! Moist delicious banana-y and really easy. I added chopped walnuts, and as a WFPB vegan, walnuts + flax pack a lot of omega 3 fatty acids!! My 3 non-vegan guests all agreed this bread is perfect!

When you've got just one banana sitting on your counter, you've got the perfect amount to make banana bread for one! That's right, you can make this banana bread with one banana and a few pantry staples.

One of my go-to ingredients has always been oat flour. Oat flour, as the name suggests, is flour that is made up of rolled or quick oats. A simple blitz in the blender will provide you with an instant batch of this versatile flour. I often use it in a plethora of baking, but my favorite use for it is in banana bread.

Now, transfer the banana bread batter into a lined loaf pan and bake at 180C/350F for 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer comes out mostly clean. Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan completely, before removing and slicing.

Y'all, banana bread is one of my favorite comfort foods. And I don't think I'm alone on this one. Maybe it's because we all end up with a semi-past due to banana from time to time and want to come up with a way to use it, like my favorite, Banana Bread with Nutella Swirls, or maybe it's cuz we all secretly want to feel healthy while eating cake. ?

A friend's mom gave me a recipe for a chocolate mug cake a while ago and I meant to try it, but the paper got shuffled in with life and there went that. It wasn't until I saw this recipe over at Vittles and Bits that I was reminded of wanting to give the whole baking in a microwave oven idea a try again. And this one was banana bread.

But it's a great quick fix, the "I have an overly ripe banana on the counter that I could toss in the freezer or use right now," kind of bread. Perfect for a single serving or to impress an unexpected guest!

I had the same problem, very rubbery depsite following directions. I've been making mug cakes for years and this has never happend with a recipe before. Maybe it's the addition of the banana? I don't know. I even checked it periodically ended up adding an extra minute and it didn't help.

I actually learned about mug cakes recently (maybe that tells I'm not much of a baker?), and have been wiling to give a try. You are right - there are great banana bread out there and cooking in a mug may not be the perfect result...but when I crave for banana bread any time of the day, I think this is a great recipe to go to, or if I only have a single banana left.... ? Thank you for the recipe, Kita!

You do NOT need an EGG!! Banana acts like an egg in quick bread recipes. My full-size banana bread recipe doesn't even call for an egg. Eliminate the egg and this will be perfect. I sprinkled mine with cinnamon and sugar before microwaving, and also used a bigger "mug" (gravy boat).

I tried this recipe, and it came out real tasty but super chewy. No bread texture. But that could probably be because I substituted spiked egg nog for the milk. It was supremely tasty, though! Sprinkled some cinnamon and sat back to enjoy. Kind of enjoyed me of this asian delicacy because of its texture. You should try the substitution! Don't use an egg or vanilla or milk. Just add the equivalent in spiked egg nog. DEEEELICIOUS.

Hello. Thank you for the recipe. I tried making it. It turned out ok. I didn't have brown sugar so I substituted with white sugar so maybe that was the difference. Also, I think adding a bit of cinnamon would make the recipe better because it really just tasted like a hot banana.

I make banana oatmeal, it takes a little longer to cook than the recipe above - I microwave it 'slowly' for 10 minutes on the very lowest setting and stir in the mashed banana at the end - but it tastes great with a little sprinkle of brown sugar. ?

I just tried ths recipe and It is ok. Mine didn't turn out to be bread, it was more of a dense bread pudding type of consistency. That was dissaponiting. I added less sugar as I don't like very sweet foods. I added blueberries and a pinch of cinnamon. The blueberries were a great addition. Next time I will make it with a walnut streusel I think it needs texture. And maybe les time in the microwave. 2ff7e9595c
